The God Squad Pod
Interview with podcaster Michael Camp

The Book
How did a small group of religious people become the most powerful political force in the United States? Why are so many Christians leaving this powerful group? Why are more and more evangelicals coming forward about sexual abuse? What is White Christian Nationalism? And how is Donald Trump related to all of this?
These are just a few of the questions that The Kingdom of Man addresses. Eric Scot English takes us on a journey through the history of Evangelicalism to show us the key cultural moments and theological postures that have created the fractured group we see today.
The Kingdom of Man argues that in Evangelicalism’s attempt at creating an American faith, its leaders have inevitably succumbed to the same temptation for power and prestige that their Catholic and Jewish ancestors fell into. Ironically, in their attempt at hastening the Kingdom of God on Earth, they have instead established a different kingdom.
A kingdom not built upon the Will of God but one made of human ambition. A kingdom not made for the poor and oppressed, but built upon their backs. It is not a kingdom of humility but of pride. It is not The Kingdom of God but the Kingdom of man.
